Mr. Roach, who leads the firm’s operations, began practicing real estate law in 1979, and has been elected as a New York Metro Area Real Estate Super Lawyer every year from 2008 – 2016, an honor given to less than five percent of the attorneys in the metropolitan area. For more than twenty-five years, he has consistently received an “AV Peer Review” rating by Martindale Hubbell, the company’s highest distinction, one that awards recognition for the “highest levels of skill and integrity”.

Since 1988, Mr. Roach has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. John’s Law School. He has taught students in the following classes:

  • Title Insurance

  • Suretyship & Mortgages

He has also delivered lectures on a variety of real estate topics for St. John’s University’s Continuing Legal Education Program, the New York State Bar Association, the Queens and Nassau County Bar Associations, the Practicing Law Institute, Lorman Education Services, the National Business Institute and Marino Legal Continuing Legal Education.

Mr. Roach is also an author and opinion leader in the industry, having co-authored:

  • How to Handle Your First Foreclosure, published by Practicing Law Institute.

  • Real Property Foreclosure: A Step-by-Step Workshop, published by National Business Institute.

  • Title Examination in New York and Foreclosure and Repossession in New York, both published by Lorman Educational Services.

  • His article, Bundled Real Estate Services and Closing Cost Estimate: Give Clients a Straight Answer, was published by the New York Real Property Law Journal, a publication distributed by the NY State Bar Association. That article went on to be republished by DeNovo, the St. John’s University School of Law Alumni Magazine.

Short Sales

Since a large portion of our practice consists of mortgage foreclosure, we are experienced in both the substance of Short Sales as well as the procedures utilized by the payoff banks processing the Short Sale applications.

Our clients include commercial banks, savings banks, mortgage banking companies, finance companies and credit unions.
